Brookfield has over a 100-year history of owning and operating assets with a focus on property, renewable power, infrastructure and private equity.

Richard Legault is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Manager. Mr. Legault is also a Senior Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Renewable Energy Group, comprising Brookfield's renewable power generation and electric utilities businesses. He has led the growth of Brookfield’s renewable power operations in North and South America, helping to make Brookfield Renewable one of the largest publicly-traded renewable power portfolios globally. Mr. Legault was Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Asset Management from 2000 to 2001, prior to which he held several senior positions in operations, finance, and corporate development with the company’s forest products operations. Mr. Legault received a Bachelor of Accounting from the Université du Québec in Hull and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Sachin Shah is the Chief Financial Officer of the Manager. Mr. Shah is also a Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management and Chief Financial Officer of Brookfield Renewable Energy Group. He leads all capital allocation and fundraising initiatives for Brookfield Renewable along with overall responsibility for financial reporting, treasury, taxation and investor relations activities. Mr. Shah received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto in 1999 and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
